USTA Rhode Island is seeking applicants to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of the state association.
Each year, four of the board’s 12 positions become open for new members to apply or for current members with expiring terms to reapply. Those interested should expect to attend as many as nine meetings per year, to serve on committees and task forces and to bring their talents and enthusiasm to the primary mission of the growth and development of tennis in the Ocean State. Being an advocate for good sportsmanship and Diversity & Inclusion is also expected. A slate will be selected by USTA Rhode Island’s Nominating Committee.
All board members are required to complete the U.S. Olympic SafeSport Course as well as a USTA background check before serving on the board.
